Basic Function:
- To effectively manage the QA/QC activities for the project.
- The focal point on the project for all Quality matters, providing support to the project team
- Promotes the use of professional Quality tools, principles and objectives
- Establishes and maintains project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans
- Schedules and conducts internal and external audits, surveillance visits and process reviews
- Monitors project generated procedures and the implementation of the Quality Management System
- Liaises with the Contractor / Subcontractor on all project quality related matters
- Responsible for ensuring where appropriate, all procurement documents are adequately endorsed with quality requirements

Education/Knowledge Required:
- Management Development Training – AIRSYS or equivalent
- Technical education
- Multi discipline knowledge of QA/QC requirements of the construction project

Years Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

Specific Skills Required:
- Good communication skills to be able to identify quality improvement opportunities and achieve results through motivation and team working
- Pro-activity in development and maintenance of Quality Management System

Reporting To:
- Site Manager

Responsibilities:
- Administer and control the MM Service Jack Projects’ QA/QC activities.
- Pro-active in Management, Monitoring, Surveillance of Contractor, Subcontractor, throughout the construction phase of the project
- Lead the further development of the Projects’ Quality Management system.
- Ensure ISO -9001 compliance
- Update the processes, procedures and methodology of the various functions during the construction phase of the project
- Lead the development of the Projects’ Quality Management Systems to improve overall efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain liaison with the certifying Authority representatives
- Develop and manage the Internal Quality Audit programme, allocate Internal Auditors to perform the audits and ensure any corrective actions needed are followed up and cleared
- Provide support and guidance for project QC staff
- Review ITP’s and PQP’s, WPS ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.
- Promotes the use of professional Quality tools, principles and objectives
- Establishes and maintains project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans
- Schedules and conducts internal and external audits, surveillance visits and process reviews
- Monitors project generated procedures and the implementation of the Quality Management System
- Liaises with the Contractor on all project quality related matters
- Appoints and co-ordinates Project QC Inspectors
- Records deficiencies, makes recommendations to correct non-compliances and improve operating procedures.
- Communicate well at all levels within the Project. In addition, to identify quality improvement opportunities and the ability to achieve results through motivation and team working
