Main responsibility and task’s in the Goliat Project :
- Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, reporting within profession to Project Service Manager.
- Identify and keep track of critical engineering activities and verify consistency of all contractors engineering schedules.
- Ensure that necessary interface milestones are clearly defined in engineering schedules from all Main Contractors as well as Main Subcontractors and – Vendors
- Review of individual Contractors engineering progress monitoring systems
- Verify logic in contractors engineering schedules and verify that sufficient engineering resources to achieve planned progress are mobilised.
- Together with technical discipline engineers ensure that sufficient milestones for exchange of engineering information are defined.
- Initiate risk assessments in the engineering planning process in order to build in necessary robustness in the engineering schedules
- Establish schedules and follow up of all project team internal engineering activities and deliverables.
- Input to monthly report for area of responsibility
- Input to project baseline updates.

Skills and experience Requirements for the project planner for the Goliat Project:
- Minimum 10 years experience within Panning/Cost/Project Control of offshore projects
- Technical engineering diploma degree or economic/business graduated
- Have a pro-active working manner.
- Knowledge with administrative requirements in NKT-07 and experience from execution of NORSOK specified projects.
- Experience from engineering planning from both clients and contractors project organisations.
- Preferable if candidate have planning experience and is familiar with engineering of Instrument & Control Systems
- Experience from review of technical documents (i.e. P&Id’s, Drawings, Construction Methodologies, Interface Matrix, Boundary Doc’s) as basis for the engineering planning.
- Experience from use of planning management systems (i.e. Safran, Primavera, etc)
- Experience from use of Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint for establishing and presentation of reports
- Good skills with both English and Norwegian language

Duration: Mobilisation of the position is as soon as possible, however, latest within 3Q-2010. Position expected duration is until summer 2013, however, only one year contract will be awarded with option for annual contract extension.
Location: The position will be located in Eni’s offices at Forus, Stavanger.
